Steven Lombardi, also known as Gritty Arts, was born in Providence, Rhode Island. He has lived in Rhode Island for most of his life but has also lived in Florida and New York, and currently resides in San Diego, California. From early on Gritty, (Steven), knew he was born to be an artist. He has explored his talents through graffiti, tattooing, digital photography, fashion, painting and graphic design. He has appeared in numerous art galleries, worked in several tattoo parlors and is currently working on a BA in graphic design. He picked up the name Gritty due to the raw, urban feel that he brought to his art.
Steven Lombardi emerged from his passion to express unrestrained creativity and individuality through fashion. His clothing line “Gritty Arts” is an urban art street wear heavily inspired by art, music, and the “Alternative lifestyle.”
